Your dedicated neighbourhood team
Your Dedicated Neighbourhood Team (DNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Theft and shoplifting, particularly on Queens Road.
Action taken:
Our Safer Streets team have been working with retailers to increase confidence in reporting crime and ensuring that they are supporting investigations by submitting their CCTV footage. This has resulted in more suspects being identified and dealt with. During May and June, 23 shop thefts were reported on Queens Road and so far we have charged people in relation to 14 of them - with more positive results still to come!
