Motor vehicles causing a danger to the community continue to be a concern to the pubic and authorities. Youths riding Ebikes and Scooters dangerously is the biggest concern but also speeding and school gate parking have been highlight as a worry.

Since the schools returned from Summer Holidays we have targeted irresponsible parents parking dangerously outside school gates and a number of tickets have been issued.
A partnership event took place at Dovelands Primary school on 23/09/26 alongside the Transportation team at Leicester City Council.
Vehicles that have been being used without Insurance and driving licences have been recovered.

Retail crime continues to be a problem for our shops across the Western ward which is causing staff to feel unsafe whilst at work.
Large volumes of stock are being taken and when staff try to deter they are being threatened with violence.

Businesses are always encouraged to report matters to the Police and share information and Intelligence regarding regular offenders.
During September One particularly prolific offender was arrested and has been remanded into prison which has significantly reduced offences and safeguarding shop staff.
When new reports are received we always try to quickly attend and secure key evidence like witness statements and CCTV.

The community in the area of Styon Road, Keightley Road and Lamen Road tell us that youths are regularly causing Anti-Social Behaviour in and around the grassed Play area. Motorcycle gatherings causing excessive noise, Vandalism/damage to Property are regularly being reported.

On 28th September 2026 officers attended an offending address and gave strong words of advice to the occupant.
Over October, November and December officers have planned operations in uniform and plain clothes in order to target offenders.
Dispersal Orders are being considered as a tool to reduce gatherings.
