A risk to the community has been identified as regularly taking place on Bonney Road. Young people using stolen motor cycles regularly attend the location and ride in a dangerous manner. Weapons have also been reported as being carried by those who attend the location.

The beat team are currently collating a court application for us to apply for a 'Gang injunction' in order to target and disrupt the offenders. Uniform and Plain clothes patrols have already taken place and will continue to occur in order to gather crucial information & intelligence. We are as working with partners to deter the activities that are putting the pubic at risk.

Reports highlighting dangerous behaviour from people using motor vehicles on the Western ward have been received.
Speeding, unlawful use of Ebikes/Scooters and dangerous parking outside school gates have all be highlighted as a concern for the community.

Speeding operations will continue to take place over the coming weeks.
Plain clothes patrols have already occurred outside schools and dangerous parking has been witnessed.
Engagement with the community via a Neighbourhood Link survey is currently taking place to identify hotspot locations where the team can target.

Violence, drug supply and cuckooing have all been reported around the Burns flats over the last few weeks. These events are concerning and put all members of the community at risk.

The ‘Day of Action’ took place on 20th March with PCSO Sally MORGAN attending along with many other stakeholders. Attendance by residents was positive with many submitting surveys in order to report issues that concerned them.
A further meeting with partners is to take place on 22nd May 2025 in order to assess the results of the residents surveys.
Plain clothes and uniformed patrols will be taking place in order to utilise our Police powers.
