Theft from motor vehicles:
You said: Crimes involving motor vehicles are on the rise, including theft from and theft of motor vehicles.
What we are going to do: We have created Op Vow to focus on the areas of high offending, such as public multi-story car parks, and increase patrols. We will also complete enquiries into reported incidents in order to bring offenders to justice.

November Update:
Riverside Officers continue to patrol the NCP and car parks on the beat, conducting engagements early morning to engage with staff and users. Crimes are continuing to be investigated through CCTV and intelligence building.

Anti-social Behaviour in Open Spaces:
You said: ASB in public areas including drug taking and dealing is on the rise and causing issues.
What we are going to do: We will increase our patrols in ASB hot spots, allowing us to engage with the community and provide that visible presence to help prevent incidents from happening.

November Update:
The beat team have continued to monitor and patrol areas of high anti-social behaviour and drug dealing. Developing intelligence and working with the council after a patch walk as concerns were raised in relation to one of the open spaces on the beat. These have been brought forward in the joint agency meeting with plans moving forward. The beat team have also been utilising their stop and search powers to help develop intelligence and reduce drug dealing in key areas.

Student safety on the beat:
You Said: With the new term starting for De Montfort University Students we will be looking at safety in this area.
What we are going to do: Linking in with the dedicated DMU officer and security and arranging engagements at student accommodations to provide crime prevention advice and bike registering .

November Update:
The beat team have had several engagements across the De Montfort Campus in relation to multiple operations (Sceptre, Gizmo) , most recently at the Kimberlin Library signing students up to neighbourhood link and completing surveys in relation to any issues in the area the beat team should be aware of. These engagements have also been completed at the student accommodations across the beat engaging with staff in relation to any on going issues. We continue to patrol the campus and work closely with the dedicated Police Officer and security for the DMU.
