Road Safety:
Community feedback has confirmed that Road Safety—particularly speeding—continues to be a priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the third quarter of 2026.
We will maintain a frequent and highly visible policing presence in affected areas as part of our ongoing local road safety operation. This includes marked vehicle patrols, routine monitoring, and the regular deployment of the speed laser device. Offenders will be dealt with robustly where appropriate.
We will continue working closely with partner agencies, including the Road Safety Partnership mobile speed camera van team, to identify areas of concern and request targeted deployments.
Enforcement activity and results will continue to be shared with the community through the Neighbourhood Link messaging service: www.neighbourhoodlink.co.uk
Issued 01 July 2026
During July 26, Uppingham’s beat team have continued to target community road-safety concerns. Officers maintained frequent high-visibility patrols, carried out speed monitoring with our speed gun and completed marked-vehicle stop checks using onboard ANPR equipment. The latter recently resulted in PC Stott dealing with a driver for further offences of no insurance and having no valid driver’s licence.
Enforcement activity and updates were shared with residents through Neighbourhood Link, highlighting the team’s continued efforts to improve adherence to 30mph limits.
The results from the mobile speed camera van visits to all locations in Rutland can be viewed at www.speedorsafety.com

Anti-Social Behaviour:
Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) remains a key priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the third quarter of 2026.
We will maintain high‑visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas, working alongside partner agencies to provide reassurance and deter offending. Officers will continue to engage proactively with individuals involved in ASB, offering appropriate advice or taking necessary action to address unacceptable behaviour.

Anti-Social Behaviour. During July 26 the beat continued with regular patrols of areas of
concern to residents. In conjunction with the Community Safety Team at Rutland County
Council we continue to engage with victims, offenders and parents. Although reports have
declined this month, we are aware this is still a high priority for local residents. Patrol plans
have been shared with colleagues on the Melton Neighbour and Response Policing Teams
and will continue over the summer.
Officers maintained regular high-visibility patrols in known hotspot areas, helping to reassure residents, deter offending, and allow for early intervention where issues arose, including low-level disorder and behaviour causing distress to local residents. Building on previous months,
targeted patrols continued in key locations, supported by partner agencies, ensuring that repeat problem areas and vulnerable individuals received appropriate
attention as part of a coordinated and ongoing approach to tackling ASB.
We cannot be in this area 24/7 if you see ASB taking place please report it.
If you wish to report any ASB in your area, please contact via 101 or report it online via www.leics.police.uk
