Road Safety:
Community feedback has confirmed that Road Safety—particularly speeding—continues to be a priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the third quarter of 2026.

We will maintain a frequent and highly visible policing presence in affected areas as part of our ongoing local road safety operation. This includes marked vehicle patrols, routine monitoring, and the regular deployment of the speed laser device. Offenders will be dealt with robustly where appropriate.

We will continue working closely with partner agencies, including the Road Safety Partnership mobile speed camera van team, to identify areas of concern and request targeted deployments.

During June 2026, the Uppingham beat team maintained a focused approach to road safety, responding to ongoing concerns from the community about speeding.

Officers carried out regular, high-visibility patrols using marked vehicles, supported by ANPR technology, and continued to monitor speeds in known hotspot
locations with handheld devices. They also collaborated with the Road Safety Partnership’s mobile speed camera van to target repeat problem areas.

Enforcement activity and updates were shared with residents through Neighbourhood Link, highlighting the team’s continued efforts to improve adherence to 30mph limits.

Anti-Social Behaviour:
Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) remains a key priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the third quarter of 2026.
We will maintain high‑visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas, working alongside partner agencies to provide reassurance and deter offending. Officers will continue to engage proactively with individuals involved in ASB, offering appropriate advice or taking necessary action to address unacceptable behaviour.

In June 2026, anti-social behaviour (ASB) remained a priority for the Uppingham beat team, with continued efforts focused on responding to ongoing reports of nuisance activity across the town.

Officers maintained regular high-visibility patrols in known hotspot areas, helping to reassure residents, deter offending, and allow for early intervention where issues arose, including low-level disorder and behaviour causing distress to local residents. Building on previous months,
targeted patrols continued in key locations, supported by partner agencies, ensuring that repeat problem areas and vulnerable individuals received appropriate
attention as part of a coordinated and ongoing approach to tackling ASB.

Drugs:
Through continued consultation with the community, the selling and use of drugs remains a key priority for the people of Uppingham as we move into the third quarter of 2026.

We will continue to develop and strengthen our intelligence picture around individuals involved in drug‑related crime. This will enable us to deploy our resources effectively in the right areas and at the right times, with the aim of deterring activity, disrupting criminal networks, and bringing offenders to justice. We will also maintain close working relationships with partner agencies and the community to ensure information is shared promptly and action is taken swiftly.

There were no specific drug-related enforcement operations in June 2026; however drug activity remains a key priority for the team. Work has continued to
develop intelligence around individuals suspected of involvement in drug use and supply. This ongoing intelligence-led approach supports efforts to disrupt and
deter offending, as well as progress investigations with a view to bringing those involved to justice, forming the basis for targeted future enforcement activity.
