I have served as a police officer since 2001, beginning my career with Dyfed-Powys Police before transferring to Leicestershire Police in 2007. My experience spans various operational roles, including response and neighbourhood policing, and I hold specialist command qualifications in firearms and public order.
I currently lead the South Leicester Neighbourhood Policing Area, working collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and the community to enhance safety and quality of life across the region.
With three years as a Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant, Sergeant Liz Crowson leads the dedicated teams covering the Saffron Lane and Eyres Monsell estates.
Passionate about proactive policing, she thrives on being out and about in the community—meeting residents, building trust, and gaining an understanding of the issues that matter most.
Liz enjoys getting to know the key individuals who cause the most harm and works closely with her team to tackle these challenges head-on. Her approach is rooted in visibility, partnership, and problem-solving, ensuring that long-term solutions are found for persistent issues.
I am part of the South Leicester policing area, having recently joined the force in February 2026.
I currently cover Freeman beat and I am enjoying getting to grips with my new role, I am looking forward to getting to know and serving the community and helping people in any way that I can.
I will be holding local beat surgeries, attending community events, and I look forward to meeting you all in the future.

I take pride in building positive relationships with residents, listening to concerns and working together to address local issues, reduce anti-social behaviour, and help make the area a safer and more pleasant place to live.
If you do see me out in the community, please do not hesitate to come and speak to me – I will always do my best to help.

We have been made aware of a number of vehicles parked across the estate which don't have relevant documents, and also e-scooters, bikes and vehicles moving dangerously and in an anti-social manner.

As has been the pattern previously, educating people and ensuring that people have the correct and legal insurance, tax and MOT to drive a vehicle has been the focus at events and surgeries. The team are working hard to deter those choosing to ride dangerous E-Scooters and off road bikes, and officers have been dedicating time to seize these types of vehicle when the opportunity arises. Patrols are set to increase in the Windley Road and Meadow Gardens areas after recent reports of speeding and dangerous bikes being ridden in the open space area.
