Drugs – We are aware that drugs have been a priority on the Saffron / Freemen beat for a while and this is going to continue. Officers have conducted a number of drugs warrants in relation to Clear, Hold, Build / Safer Saffron (CHB). We will continue to work hard to gain intelligence and bring offenders before the courts.

The team have continued to conduct patrols in hotspot areas for drug use and build on information received about drug supply. In the past month a cannabis grow has been located on Lothair Road and stop searches have led to two people being arrested - one for possession of a knife and one for possession of cannabis.

ASB – The area of Old Saffron Lane, Saffron Lane sports stadium and Maris Lane were added as priorities in April and we will be continuing with these for the next three months. You have told us ASB is on the rise with the lighter evenings and we will continue to tackle this issue along with partner agencies

PCSO Spencer has been to visit schools to discuss ASB issues and has issues warnings to several youths who have been involved.

Officers have responded to reports of ASB at the leisure centre and have been to Hawkins Road with the council's housing officer to discuss ASB issues. They have also been made aware of issues on Wheatsheaf Way, which has now been added into the patrol plan.
