  • Priority:

Anti-Social Behaviour in and around Braunstone Park continues as a priority concern from the community. Over the autumn period, the team will continue to concentrate on this location.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

Anti-social behaviour in and around Braunstone Park remains a key priority for the Braunstone and Rowley Fields Beat Team following ongoing concerns raised by local residents and park users.

Throughout September, officers have continued to carry out targeted high-visibility patrols within the park and surrounding areas, providing reassurance to the community and proactively addressing reports of anti-social behaviour. These patrols have focused on identifying those responsible for behaviour that has a negative impact on residents and ensuring the park remains a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

As part of this ongoing work, officers dealt with two males who were reported for driving offences committed within Braunstone Park. Action was taken following concerns regarding the manner in which vehicles were being used in the park, demonstrating the team's commitment to tackling issues that affect the safety and enjoyment of the area.

The beat team will continue to work closely with partner agencies and carry out proactive patrols throughout the coming months, using both enforcement and preventative measures to address anti-social behaviour, respond to community concerns and improve public confidence within Braunstone Park and the surrounding neighbourhood.

  • Priority:

From Community Surveys and Feedback on Neighbourhood Link, road safety has been highlighted to be a local concern. We will continue to concentrate on speeding concerns and anti social behaviour caused by e bikes, e scooters and off road motorbikes.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

Road safety continues to be a priority for the Braunstone and Rowley Fields Beat Team following concerns highlighted through community surveys and feedback received via Neighbourhood Link. The team remains focused on addressing speeding and tackling anti-social behaviour associated with e-bikes, e-scooters and off-road motorbikes across the local area.

Throughout September, officers have carried out proactive patrols and enforcement activity aimed at improving road safety and targeting those using vehicles unlawfully. As part of this work, two Traffic Offence Reports were issued for driving offences, including driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and failing to comply with a red traffic signal.

The team also seized a vehicle after the driver was found to be disqualified from driving and uninsured. Removing uninsured and illegally driven vehicles from the road helps to reduce risk to other road users and demonstrates the commitment of officers to taking robust action against offenders.

In addition, officers have continued to target the illegal and anti-social use of electric vehicles. During September, three e-scooters and one e-bike were seized after being identified as being used unlawfully. These seizures form part of ongoing efforts to address concerns raised by residents regarding nuisance riding, road safety risks and anti-social behaviour.

The beat team recognises the impact that irresponsible vehicle use can have on the community and will continue to carry out targeted patrols, enforcement activity and engagement with residents to address these concerns. Through a combination of proactive policing and education, the team remains committed to improving road safety and making Braunstone a safer place for all who live, work and visit the area.

  • Priority:

From the Surveys on Neighbourhood Link you have told us that drug dealing and usage at locations across the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area is a concern.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

Tackling drug dealing and drug-related activity across Braunstone and Rowley Fields remains a priority for the beat team following concerns raised by residents through Neighbourhood Link surveys. The team continues to act on community intelligence and carry out proactive enforcement activity aimed at disrupting those involved in the supply of controlled drugs.

Throughout September, officers executed two drugs warrants at addresses within the Braunstone and Rowley Fields area as part of ongoing intelligence-led investigations. During the searches, officers seized suspected controlled drugs and cash from both properties, preventing further distribution within the community and gathering valuable evidence to support ongoing enquiries.

As a result of the warrants, two individuals were interviewed in relation to offences of Possession with Intent to Supply Class B drugs. Investigations remain ongoing while officers continue to examine the evidence seized and pursue all available lines of enquiry.

These results demonstrate the team's commitment to taking positive action against those involved in drug-related offending and responding directly to concerns raised by local residents. Warrants and enforcement activity play a vital role in disrupting criminal networks, reducing the harm caused by illegal drugs and improving the safety of local neighbourhoods.

The beat team will continue to work proactively with partner agencies, develop intelligence and target individuals suspected of being involved in the supply of illegal drugs. By combining enforcement activity with community engagement, the team remains committed to reducing drug-related crime and making Braunstone and Rowley Fields a safer place to live, work and visit.
