  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB in Mountsorrel, including the use of e-bikes and scooters.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

The Mountsorrel Beat Team has continued to work on reports of anti-social behaviour across the village, which remains one of our local policing priorities.

Officers have been working closely with our housing partners to address concerns raised by residents, and we are pleased that a number of cases have now been brought to a satisfactory resolution. This partnership approach has helped to tackle issues effectively and provide reassurance to those affected.

The team has also carried out regular patrols at identified hotspot locations throughout the village. These patrols aim to deter anti-social behaviour, engage with the local community, and ensure that Mountsorrel remains a safe and welcoming place for residents and visitors alike.

We would encourage anyone experiencing or witnessing anti-social behaviour to continue reporting it, as the information you provide helps us target our patrols and take appropriate action where necessary.

The beat team aim to tackle speeding in Mountsorrel

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

This Beat Team carried out speed enforcement checks on Leicester Road, as tackling speeding continues to be one of our local priorities.

A total of 70 vehicles were checked during the session, with the overwhelming majority of drivers adhering to the speed limit. It was encouraging to see so many motorists driving safely and responsibly through the area.

One driver was spoken to and given words of advice regarding their speed.

We will continue to carry out speed checks across the beat area to help improve road safety and address the concerns raised by residents. Thank you for your ongoing support.

  • Priority:

    Burglaries in and around Mountsorrel

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

There have been two reported burglaries in Mountsorrel this month, consisting of one residential burglary and one commercial burglary.

The Mountsorrel Beat Team continues to carry out regular high-visibility patrols throughout the village when on duty, providing reassurance and helping to deter criminal activity. These patrols allow officers to engage with residents, identify any concerns within the community, and maintain a visible policing presence.

When the Beat Team is not on duty, our response policing colleagues continue to patrol the village and provide a visible presence, ensuring that Mountsorrel remains well served by local policing resources around the clock.

We would encourage residents and businesses to remain vigilant, ensure properties are secure, and report any suspicious activity to the police. Information from the community is invaluable in helping us prevent and detect crime.
