  • Priority:

The beat team aim to tackle different elements of ASB in Mountsorrel, including the use of e-bikes and scooters.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Throughout July, neighbourhood officers have continued to deal with a number of ongoing issues involving disputes and anti-social behaviour between neighbours. These incidents often require a coordinated approach, and officers have been working closely with partner agencies to identify the most appropriate solutions and provide long-term resolutions for those affected.

The local policing team remains committed to tackling ASB and ensuring that residents feel safe and supported within their communities. Where necessary, officers have provided advice, carried out follow-up visits, and worked alongside housing providers and other relevant organisations to address concerns and reduce the likelihood of further incidents.

In addition, the station's dedicated ASB vehicle, crewed by two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), has been actively deployed across the area throughout the month. The team has conducted regular high-visibility patrols, providing reassurance to residents, identifying local issues, and engaging with members of the community. These patrols play an important role in preventing anti-social behaviour, gathering intelligence, and addressing concerns raised by local people.

We would like to thank residents for continuing to report incidents and share information with the neighbourhood policing team. Community engagement remains a vital part of our approach to keeping the area safe and helping to resolve issues at an early stage.

The beat team aim to tackle speeding in Mountsorrel

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

We have carried out speed checks on Halstead Road following recent feedback from residents.

We’re pleased to report that the majority of drivers were travelling within the speed limit when we completed the checks.

However, two vehicles were identified exceeding the limit. Both drivers were stopped by officers and given words of advice.

We will continue to listen to community concerns and carry out further speed enforcement where needed to help keep our roads safe.

    Burglaries in and around Mountsorrel

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

We are pleased to report that no burglaries were recorded within the village during the month of July. While this is positive news for the community, we would encourage residents to remain vigilant and continue taking simple crime prevention measures, such as ensuring doors and windows are secured, valuables are kept out of sight, and any suspicious activity is reported promptly.

Throughout the month, officers have conducted high-visibility patrols across the village, focusing on residential areas, key routes, and locations identified through local policing priorities. These patrols provide reassurance to residents, help deter criminal activity, and offer opportunities for officers to engage with members of the community.

Neighbourhood officers will continue to carry out regular patrols and work closely with residents to help maintain the village's low crime levels. We would like to thank the community for their ongoing support and cooperation in helping to keep the area a safe place to live, work, and visit.

If you witness any suspicious behaviour or have information about criminal activity, please report it via the appropriate policing channels. In an emergency, always call 999.
