We will complete active patrols at each of the primary school within the beat. We will look to offer education and will progress to enforcement where required. We will work with schools and also local enforcement officers to ensure we are making our schools a safe environment for all.

Retail Crime – Belvoir Shopping centre and Whitwick Retail Park.
You Said: We are aware that local businesses are being subject to theft which includes repeat offenders targeting certain stores. Due to the upcoming festive season we will maintain this priority throughout the next priority period.

We Will: We will complete targeted operations in the area, working with colleagues in CCTV to target those causing harm and repeat offenders.
We will work with our local enforcement teams and our Safer Streets officers to identify those committing offences and seek convictions and long term orders to enable officers to take robust action.
We Did:
We are working with establishments who are being frequently targeted to provide safety advice and to target those causing harm. We are completing regular patrols and are working with partners in our CCTV office to ensure identified suspects are quickly detained and dealt with.
We are also progressing a number of Criminal Behavior Orders to ensure we are dealing with offenders in the long term.
We have continued to target those causing harm, with Criminal Behaviour Orders being issued at court giving us further powers. We are continuing to work with those retailers most impacted and are also in close contact with partners in our CCTV office to ensure swift action when offenders are identified.
Due to the diligence of our neighbourhood and safer streets teams, we have successfully charged some of our well known nominals for repeat shop thefts. This has led to orders being in place and custodial sentences.
As we are now in the run up to the festive season, this priority will remain in place and we will continue to support our retail areas.

We are aware of issues associated with licensing. This includes underage sales, sales of illegal produce and associated criminality.

You Said: We have received an increase in the number of issues reported, associated with licensed premises in the area. This includes both public houses and retail stores.

We will work with partners in licensing and trading standards to conduct visits at those premises suspected of being involved in unlawful practices.
We will look to complete test purchase operations and offer education to licensed premises.
