Your Dedicated Neighbourhood Team (DNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
ASB – With the evenings being lighter for longer we will continue to try and crack down on youths causing ASB. You have told us that youths are climbing onto the roof of Pasley Road Health Centre and other local buildings, and stones are being thrown at houses on Grange Spinney. We will work to identify those involved and deal with appropriately.
Issued 01 July 2024
Through proactive patrols and good work by the beat team there has been no further reports of youths climbing on buildings on the area. Two youths have been identified as climbing onto buildings and they have been dealt with appropriately.
There have also been high visibility patrols on the open spaces on the beat and there has been no further reports of youths throwing stones at houses around the Grange Spinney. A further 8 people have been dealt with for causing ASB either by words of advice or warning letters by the beat team.

Drugs – You have told us there are concerns around drugs - taking, dealing, cuckooing and locations targeted with drug related damage. We have been, and will continue to work to disrupt and tackle those who take drugs and are involved in drug related activity. Officers will continue to build intelligence and carry out patrols. If you suspect someone is involved in such crime, please report this either to police or Crimestoppers.
Issued 01 July 2024
One of our well-known drug hotspot addresses has been boarded up and the occupant removed. Some joint work with the local authority helped us to develop further intelligence, which has helped us to identify another area and people of interest. Don’t forget that you can help us by giving information anonymously to www.crimestoppers-uk.org

Road safety – You have told us there are some issues with off-road bikes, mini mopeds and quadbikes being ridden across the estate and on the open spaces. A patrol plan has been put in place to try and tackle the issues and we would urge you to contact us if your area is affected.
Issued 01 July 2024
We are still getting reports of off-road motorbikes riding around the area. Recently we have issued a warning to a motorcyclist regarding his manner of driving, under Section 59 Police Reform Act and we believe we have identified someone else that has been seen riding round the estate with no helmet. Further work is being done in relation to this matter.
