ASB – We have been made aware by our colleagues at the council of a few issues with anti-social behaviour in the Grange Drive area. We will be increasing patrols in the area so come and say hello if you see us out and about.

Police community support officers have continued their patrols in the area and issues seem to have abated slightly. With the evenings getting lighter and the better weather starting we have started to see a few reports of off road bikes. We are continuing to monitor the situation.

Drugs – We are carrying this priority over into the new year as has remained an issue. We are aware people are dealing and using on the estate and the wider issues that come from drugs. We are dedicated in tackling those who cause harm in relation to drugs on the EME and welcome any information in regards to those causing these issues.

Work has been ongoing by the beat team to build intelligence on vehicles, people and property linked to drugs. We have also been working to safeguard those who are exploited by drug users and dealers, visiting them to provide safeguarding advice and reassurance and to disrupt criminality.

Theft from shops has previously been a priority around the Sturdee Road area and it will continue to remain so. Two known offenders have recently been released from prison. The beat team will continue to engage with stores and work to identify those responsible

Following a consistent police presence in the area we are pleased to report that the number of thefts seems to have reduced slightly. PCSOs and beat officers are continuing to engage with shop staff and the local community.
