Your dedicated neighbourhood team
Your Dedicated Neighbourhood Team (DNT) is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Dealing with anti-social behaviour and road safety involving the illegal use of e-scooters and e-bikes across the ward.
Action taken:
We Did: We continue to target antisocial behaviour connected to e-scooters and e-bikes where possible. During this period we have seized e-scooters/e-bikes as part of a wider effort to reduce drug taking and anti-social behaviour in the Glenfield Road East area.

Priority:
Dealing with the production of class B drugs on the area, in addition to tackling the use and supply of both class A and B drugs in areas where this affects the local community.
Action taken:
We Did: In August we continued the excellent work targeting this issue. As a beat team we’ve conducted or instigated well over 20 stop searches since the middle of July and throughout August. As a result, we’ve found approximately 16 people in possession of drugs, 2 in possession of stolen property and have arrested several persons for being wanted for other, pre-existing matters. This proactive approach will continue into September.

Reducing vehicle crime, including damage to, theft from and theft of motor vehicles on the beat.
Action taken:
We Did: Vehicle crime continues to be an issue, with some offences reported to us in August. We continue to regularly patrol the affected areas, such as Tudor Road and the surrounding streets. We’ve also aimed to assist the investigations into most if not all of these offences by conducting timely CCTV and house to house enquiries ourselves as a beat team, to assist with identifying those responsible.
