Dealing with anti-social behaviour and road safety involving the illegal use of e-scooters and e-bikes across the ward.

We Did: We continue to target antisocial behaviour connected to e-scooters and e-bikes where possible, using targeted patrols and stop checks. We suspect drug dealers are routinely using e-bikes to get around and are developing intelligence to identify them. Further Op Pedalfast events will be scheduled in to target the hotspots for this offending.

Dealing with the production of class B drugs on the area, in addition to tackling the use and supply of both class A and B drugs in areas where this affects the local community.

We Did: In July we have conducted a number of stop searches on the beat connected to drugs, particularly in the Glenfield Road East area. This has resulted in one arrest so far, and more work in this area is planned. Our work around cannabis production continues with further enforcement in the planning stages.

Reducing vehicle crime, including damage to, theft from and theft of motor vehicles on the beat.

We Did: In July we have seen a reduction in vehicle crime and damage. Patrols at key times continue to deter offending, and where vehicles are broken into, we are following all reasonable lines of enquiry to identify and deal with suspects. We have identified and dealt with two suspects for causing damage to vehicles on Bonchurch Street and are approaching the Youth offending service in relation to them.
