Addressing issues with anti-social behaviour across the beat, particularly in the New Found Pool area, such as problems with youths, criminal damage on Bonchurch Street, parking issues and misuse of public footpaths and pavements across the ward.
Issued 04 January 2025
We did: This month we have been working with partners in the council to address parking issues in the Flora Street area. A joint visit to the location has been conducted with a view to solving the problem, potentially with the implementation of double yellow lines. Elsewhere on the beat joint enforcement is planned to address poor parking outside schools.

Dealing with the production of class B drugs on the area, in addition to tackling the use and supply of both class A and B drugs in areas where this affects the local community.
Issued 04 January 2025
We did: In February we executed 8 drugs warrants across the ward, including on Tudor Road, Pool Road, Ruby Street, Vaughan Street, Oban Street and Hawthorn Street. This work resulted in the seizure of over £485,195 worth of controlled drugs. One male was arrested, charged and remanded for 3 offences, and 4 prohibition orders were issued by our partners Leicester City Council to ensure dangerous properties are made safe before they are inhabited again. This work also resulted in us identifying four properties which had their electrics dangerously bypassed. These have been made safe to further protect neighbouring properties. So far in March we have also executed a drugs warrant on Beatrice Road resulting in the seizure of more illegal drugs. The electrics in this address were so poorly bypassed that the fuse box was smoking on Police attendance. Another dangerous fire risk property made safe for the community living in the locality.

Bringing down acquisitive crimes, particularly theft from motor vehicles on the New Found Pool/Pool Road estate and further afield.
Issued 04 January 2025
We did: We continue to target those intent on stealing from others across the ward. During this period we arrested a male suspected of using a cash card stolen from a motor vehicle on the ward. We continue to target prolific offenders via the use of stop searches or arrest where grounds exist.
